We are bringing all kinds of music into a single cacophony of sound. We began this radio station because we are tired of the way the music industry does things today. They tell us what is hot and what is not and the average consumer buys right into it. This makes it nearly impossible for someone without the right “connections” to get into the game regardless of the talent that he or she possesses. This is why we hear the same “Top 40” songs on rotation all day everyday on popular music stations, when there is an entire myriad of top notch music out there just waiting to be discovered.

Our goal is to have a wide variety of music to open people’s minds to give something new a try. Many people think they won’t like something until they give it a chance, which is why we want to play everything. This will never be known as simply a hip hop, or rock, or pop station. We are devoted not to a single genre, but to quality music as a whole.

You will not hear the same song repetitively in the rotation unless it is specifically requested. So that puts it up to you. What do YOU want to hear? This is YOUR radio station. We are also dedicated to the cultivation of underground music. So many artists are overlooked because they are not affiliated with a mainstream label. We are an outlet for local and independent artists to be able to reach out to listeners not only in this area but worldwide. This also goes beyond radio. We are trying to form more of a scene in Salem of something to do. Too long has Salem been known as the “lame-nothing-to-do-town” alternative to larger cities, like LA NYC or even PDX.
